A staged reading of an abridged version of Act I was presented at St John’s Hall in Ashfield, in Sydney’s Inner West.
The reading tested JASPER The Musical with a cast and audience and sought critical feedback to guide development.
Four rehearsals were held in the lead-up to the reading. The team experienced setbacks due to Covid, however, ultimately the reading was completed successfully. Over 40 people attended and most stayed afterwards for a Q&A session and responded to a questionnaire about the work.
Feedback from both the cast and audience will be used to refine the work and increase its marketability and engagement potential.
